Over the next 3 years Family Challenge is implementing strategies to empower Kichikwe community to break the cycle of poverty. Through leadership training and the establishment of small business enterprise, EMPOWER aims to care for the vulnerable children/orphans, improve access to health care, and raise next generation leaders to advance their own community for good.

CHILD EMPOWERMENT
It takes a village to raise a child
To provide a vulnerable child/orphan with basic needs - nutrition, clothing, shelter, and primary education - the entire village needs to be empowered. With your partnership, child sponsorship not only gives children access to primary education, but also provides health and nutrition, agriculture, and leadership education programs to enable families to adequately cater for the needs of all children in their family’s care. Supporting a child ends up empowering their entire family and village.

Youth are the leaders of tomorrow
Empower Leadership College and Agricultural Farm will be the educational hub of the village with various youth training components on offer. With your partnership, Family Challenge educates the youth of Kichikwe in Leadership, Small Business, and Vocational Skills. This in turn promotes small income producing schemes, strengthens their esteem/confidence, and enhances their ability to serve their community.

WOMAN EMPOWERMENT
Teach a woman to fish and you feed everybody
Many rural house holds are headed by widows, grandmothers,or orphaned girls (caring for their siblings) with no ability to generate income. They survive on minimal food grown on home plots. With your partnership, Family Challenge empowers women with resources, social networks, agricultural knowledge, health and nutrition education, and skill acquisition (sewing; farming; milling) for Small Business Entrepreneurship. Most of all, your partnership facilitates a whole lot of love and support for those who need it most.
