The following Audit report features a complete diagnostic breakdown of Family Challenge's client demographics, pathology representation and therapeutic outcomes over the past calendar year.

Family Challenge is a specialist psychology clinic offering assessment, early intervention and treatment services to children, adolescents, adults and their families. The breakdown of ages for Family Challenge clients seen in 2010 are as follows:

General Therapeutic Outcomes

For the purpose of this Audit Report, Clinical Outcomes are measured by the Outcome Rating Scale (Miller & Duncan, 2000) and the Child Outcome Rating Scale (Duncan, Miller, & Sparks, 2003). Life functioning is measured along internationally benchmarked visual analog scales; scores above 25 fall in the normal functioning range; scores below 25 fall in the clinical range.

  • Individually (personal well-being)
  • Interpersonally (family, close relationships)
  • Overall

 

In General:

1. Clients presented with mean ORS of 21.2 (within the clinical range)
2. Clients achieved ratings in the normal functioning range by session 2
3. Clients demonstrated a maintained improvement (average ORS 29.7) by session 6

 

Therapeutic Outcomes by Pathology

Depression

Including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Suicidal Ideation.
